Microsoft Office Professional 2003 Recovery Issues

My IBM laptop was recently having some issues with viruses and some faulty
hardware, so I took it in to the shop to replace and fix, and learned XP
would have to be reinstalled, and was, with all my files being allocated to a
subfolder of my hard drive. I transferred my files back to Program files and
reinstalled them all but was unable to do so for Microsoft Office
Professional 2003. When I try to open Word or other Office programs I get

"This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." when
using a shortcut or

"The operating system is not presently configured to run this application."
when using the application from the Office11 folder.

The laptop was a part of a scholarship from my college, came with Office
pre-installed(as far as I know) so I do not have an installation or recovery
disk for it. Can anyone help get Office running again?

The days of being able to copy or move a program from the installed location
to another are long gone. Didn't your computer repair shop tell you that you
would have to reinstall your programs and ask you if you had the disks?

Without the CDs you're out of luck. If you are still in school I would
suggest visiting the bookstore and purchasing the academic version. If not,
you're going to have to spend about $500 for a new copy of Office Pro.
