Microphone

I am running XP Home Ed with SP2. When I run MSN Messenger 6.2 I cannot
always send or receive sound. If it works at all, it starts by freezing the
screen when I click on 'Audio' in the MSN Control Panel and then sound starts
up in fits and starts before clearing into normal sound. This applies to both
connected computers. All checks via Control Panel 'Sounds and Audio Devices'
and Logitech Messenger Quick Cam Camera (which has built in mic) Control
Panel show all OK. Same situation applies when using either the LAN or over
the Internet (Broadband). Any help will be much appreciated.
