Messaging Interface Has Returned Unknown Error

I am trying to delete email messages in my inbox of Outlook and i Keep
getting a message saying
"The Messaging Interface Has Returned AN Unknown Error. If the Problem
Persists, Please restart Outlook"

I have restarted Outlook 10 times and it still gives me the same message. I
am unable to delete any messages and my inbox is too full.

Try emptying your Delete Items folder first or, when you try to delete an
item in Inbox, select the item and hold the Shift key as you press Delete.

I have the same problem and the fixes you suggested didn't work. Any other
suggestions

Thanks for the help, Once I was able to delete many messages I was fine. As
it turns out my personal folder was 1.9 GB and I had over 9500 messages in my
inbox. This seemed to take care of all.

Thanks for the tip. This worked for me and after deleting a couple thousand
emails by holding the shift key outlook worked as its suppose to.

Good news. I'd consider compacting your PST as well.

Clearing out one's INBOX and any other full MAIL folders using Shift Delete
does work. Thanks so much.
