Outlook Error Message

Here's the error message I get when I try to delete anything from my Inbox:
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook".
Restarting Outlook doesn't help.
Can't delete anything from the inbox. Can't receive anything into it.
