I am running Office 2000 on a Windows XP system.

I am getting a message at start up of Outlook that says:
"Unable to start processing services." If I click "OK"
Outlook shuts down. If I click on the close dialog box "X"
it starts and is usable.

Does anyone know what is going on with this. It started
without warning.

Have you tried Detect and Repair? Does creating a new mail profile help?

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

.
Millie,

Thanks for the reponse. I have tried detect and repair and
have reinstalled the program altogether and the only
change has been that the same message comes up in the
Office Assistant rather than in its own dialog/warning box.

Any other ideas?

Charlie

Did you try the new mail profile??

I deleted all accounts and tried to restart and still had
the same message.

I then reestablished my mail accounts, shut down Outlook
again, and restarted it. I received the same message.

Now when I shut down, I get the dialog box that says a
problem has occured and requests authorization to send a
message to Microsoft.

Let me know what is next. Thanks, hopefully you will have
a good weekend.

Charlie
