Memory Error - WMM Closes automatically

Anyone ever see this happen in WMM 5.1?

Instruction at "0x000000bc" referenced memory "0x000000bc". The memory could
not be "read".

It terminates the program. I can usually used Movie Maker for about 5
minutes before I get the Debug/Send Error box...if I move the box I can still
use WMM, however, after about another 5 minutes, the above message pops up
and WMM locks up...OKing or Canceling the warning simply term.'s WMM.

Any help would be great!

FWIW...5.1 is your version of WinXP...
Movie Maker version is 2.1.

Some users have reported problems
after installing IE7. If this applies to your
situation ...uninstalling IE7 may be worth
a try.

Still running IE6.0...seems like i'm not the only one out there after
looking at a few other sites. surprised microsoft would put out
something so unstable without issuing some sort of fix or patch!

You may not be a technician but you hit it on the nose. Thanks.... and so did
the previous. I have Internet Explorer 7 and progressively more and more
whenever I have any media program going and am also trying to run Internet
Explorer 7 in another window ... (the media program for example I mean right
now is Windows Media Player 11 running in my MSN Explorer window) and the
Internet Explorer 7 window just closes ... everything closes lately in terms
of running Windows Media Player 11 and Internet Explorer 7. I really wish
that Microsoft/Windows would STOP insisting that we get these automatic
updates and upgrades every 2 weeks when they are so FAR from having
solidified their latest versions of programs. It really is getting out of
hand. I mean Windows Media Player 11 came on the heels of 10 and 9 and
Internet Explorer 7 came right on the heels of 6. It is like push push push
and we are the Beta guinae pigs that are giving feedback constantly. I find I
spend more time always on these sites trying to figure out what is wrong ..
than actually using my computer. I have had a query into Windows Update now
for over a month it works so bizarrely since I installed Internet Explorer 7.
And you suggest uninstalling 7 but that is not some easy option. The last
time I did that I lost all connection to my MSN mailbox. So if you have any
input to Microsoft, MSN or Windows .. tell them to get it more straight first
before they experiment with their latest release.
