Media Player shuts my computer down

My computer shuts down on average every 3rd rip when I rip CD's in Media
Player, or iTunes. The error report says that there is a conflicting program,
but I have uninstalled all but the essentials. Any ideas or suggestions.

I had a similar issue, I was rid of it by removing the HDcdrom update from
microsoft and scanning for spyware with AdAware. Also make sure that you
have the correct driver installed for your drive.
