Media Player won't rip CD

I'm using Media Player 11, and I chose Rip CD from the menu when I put
in a new CD. It is not on the RIP tab, with the song info and a little
button that says Start Rip. But this button is not clickable, at least
nothing happens when I click it. I can play the track in the player
controls...but how do I rip the song, I can't find that option
anywhere else.

Hi Alice,
check this Control Panel - performance and maintenance- admin tools-
services and see if IMAPI service is active; if not activate it and see.
