Media player 9

Anyone have problems with media player 9 not adding songs
and giving an error like "windows media error" and no
codes or anything...and how did you fix it? Thanks for
your response.

Hi gerald,
The problem might be because the file has a header that the Player cannot
read. The file either has a compressed or unsynchronized ID3 header or
contains ID3v2 data, which the Player does not support for security
reasons. For unsynchronized ID3 headers,

A supported fix is now available from Microsoft, but it is only intended to
correct the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to
systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This fix may receive
additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this
problem, Microsoft recommends that you wait for the next service pack that
contains this fix.

To resolve this problem immediately, download the fix by clicking the
download link later in this article or contact Microsoft Product Support
