Problem with Windows Media Player

Y

Yiannis Z.

My OS is Windows 2000 professional and i have installed
the windows media player v.9
The problem is that every time that i use the media player
in order to listen to mp3's, the songs are played faster
than usual. Mark Knopffler's voice for instance sounds
very feminine and the song has a faster beat. I suppose it
has to do with the drivers, but i have no idea what to do
in order to correct this problem.

Any ideas?

Update your sound card drivers or lower the hardware acceleration for the
card.

How exactly do you do that?
