Media Player 9 error message

My P4 PC shows this error message when I click on links on the Internet.
I am on cable modem. Please give advice. Thank you.


Windows Media Player cannot play this file. Connect to the Internet or
insert the removable media on which the file is located, and then try to
play the file again.

Hi tenplay,

Follow the steps below to troubleshoot this issue:

1. Click Start, run, type "inetcpl.cpl" (with out quotation marks) and click
OK.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Under Browsing, uncheck the "Enable third-party browser extensions
(requires restart)" check box.
4. Also, uncheck the box for Display a notification about every script error
5. Check the box for Disable script debugging
6. Click OK.

PS: Do not restart your computer after performing the above steps.

Once you are done with the above steps, please open a brand new Internet
Explorer and check if the problem is resolved.
