Media centter and hibernation/standby problems

Please help...
I have a dell dimensions 5100 with ms media center. I hooked up this piece
of $%$# to my home theater with the intention of using media tcenter o record
movies and tv. It has never really worked! When the computer hibernates or
enters standby it crashes(freezes and when I try to reboot, nothing happens)
That means that the only way I can record anything is if I turn off the
hibernation and standy modes. Are there any downside to keeping the computer
on 24/7. I would prefer to use the sleep modes if possible. That is where I
can use your help. Is there a conflict or a patch available to fix the error.
Thanks in advance!

Rob,
Have you checked the box that says "Wake the computer to run this task?" and
did you enter the correct user password to run the program?

Also, you might want to make this same post under the "Windows XP Media
Center Edition" Group (the 4th group from the top of the list
<--- (along the left edge here).
