MDAC Error Message

Hi: I have XP sp2 installed and I have a program that requires MDAC v2.6 or
later. When I run the program it tells me that MDAV v2.52.6019.0 has been
found. I checked my MDAC verision with the checker supplied by microsoft and
it shows MDAC2.8 sp1 on windows XP sp2 is installed. Any ideas? Thanks....

Windows XP Service Pack 2 includes version 2.81 of MDAC. This version
includes the security enhancements that were distributed with MDAC 2.8.

The authors of the program have botched the version check. Complain to
them
