Master Subtitles

The Master Slide view provides a Master Title box that can be edited on every
page of the presentation. I want to have two Master Title boxes or rather a
box each for a Master Title and a Master Subtitle that are accessible on
every oage of the presentation. How can this be done? I have not been able
to figure it out.

John, thanks for responding. I’m working with PowerPoint 2003 (11.8135.8132)
SP2, part of Microsoft Office Standard Edition 2003. Does that provide the
information needed to help? Thanks again. J

Sorry to tell you that in that version you can't add placeholders. You can
with 2007, but not with the older versions.

You will need to fake it by copying and pasting a text box or autoshape to
each slide for the sub-title.

Hmmm.. Do your titles go on groups of slides? If so, you could create a
master for each title. On those masters, add the title to the master and
leave the placeholder for the sub-title. A little kludgy, but it works....
