I have windows 2000 and windows 98 second edition. My problem is that I
cannot map share folder on windows 2000. In the address bar of my windows
98SE computer i would type in "\\exim10\" (which is windows 2000 PC) it will
give me a user name which is filled in IPC$ and now it is asking for the
password. I don't know what to do on windows 2000 so windows 98 can see what
is one windows 2000 shared folders. I even checked Security and permission
and I made only administrator account to have access. My other PC that are
running windows 2000 has no problem except for my one pc that is running
windows 98 SE that cannot access any windows 2000pc. I jsut don't the
password to IPC$. Please tell me what to do. Normally i can type in the
username and password when i type UNC on any windows 2000 pc.

create a user account on the windows 2000pc with the identical
username/password as the username/password on the windows 98se pc.

try to login to the windows 2000 pc now...should work

unfortunately, you'll have to create a user account as above, on every
windows 2000 pc that the 98se pc needs to access.

any luck?
