Hello, this is my situation.
I have replaced burned out motherboard and cpu with new ones and now my windows wont boot even in safe mode. I realise this is normal as there are alot of old drivers being loaded up and causing the restart. I have hooked up this hdd on another pc and now I have access to directory structure. Is there a way to disable old chipset drivers or any old drivers in general from loading in safe mode? It is of outmost importancy for me to be able to boot into safemode or normal. Thank you

OS & Hardware would help.

The general rule is to re-install the OS.

Are you saying you are trying to use your old Windows installation with this new Mobo/CPU?

If thats the case it ain't gonna work - you need to do a fresh install of Windows, then load the relevant drivers from the motherboard CD after installation.

Edit: Damn you Mucks - one day I'm gonna get up early and beat you to the post
