Management console

I run the disk defrag and a box pops up stating that
Microsoft Management Console requires Microsoft I.E. 5.5
or greater to be installed. When I click ok it shuts
down the defragementer. It won't even run. I have I.E.
6.0 installed. Now What?

You can run System File Checker tool to scan all of the

protected files on your computer:
Click Start > Run and type: CMD, and hit enter.
In the open box, type; sfc /scannow (including space) and
then click OK. Note
that you may be prompted to insert the Windows XP
installation CD-ROM.
