Manage Documents Persmission

Is there a way to allow users to manage only the documents that they send to
the printer? The creator owner group appears to allow anyone to manage ANY
document in the queue. I am having trouble with a user that seems to believe
he gets to choose what should be printed or not and keeps deleting other
users documents from the queue. I removed that privilege from the creator
owner group which caused other issues so I had to put it back.

Does anyone know if there is a way to allow users to manage only THEIR
documents in the queue?

Thanks for the help.

Hi,

Your system sounds a little messed up. By default users can only
delete their own documents. They can’t delete others documents unless
you give them permission to do so.

The Default Permissions are "Everyone = Print, CREATOR OWNER=Print
AND Manage Documents". Unless you have everyone logging in with the
same username and password CREATOROWNER is Only the person who creates
and owns the document. Therefore if someone else creates it then no
one else can delete it.

Make sure your NTFS permissions aren’t messed up somehow.

Cheers,

Lara

Thanks for the reply. I will have to look at AD and make sure it is
operating correctly.
