Mailbox Quota ?

Guest

I'm not sure what happened, but a few days ago, I started getting a ton of
emails that were bouncing. This is the message that I get....
A message was sent to you that was returned to the sender(bounced)
because it would have caused your mailbox quota to be exceeded.

I have deleted all of my junk mail and deleted items folders, but messages
are still bouncing. any ideas on what to do? (I am still receiving some
emails just fine, btw)

Thanks!

The message probably isn't referring to your email program on your computer.
Your Inbox on the email server may be getting full, if you are not deleting
the messages after downloading them.
If you have access to your server via a web browser, login and see. Then
delete to free up space.

To supplement what Dave said: If your ISP doesn't offer webmail access,
you can do the same thing at http://mail2web.com.
Also, change your Windows Mail settings so this problem won't happen
again: Tools, Accounts, select the account, Properties, Advanced, near
the bottom of that screen you probably have "Leave a copy of messages
on server" enabled. If so, you must also select one of the 'Remove' options.

Is it possible to check the quota status for an IMAP account directly from
Microsoft Windows Mail as it is from Mozilla Thunderbird?
