I have a desktop and a laptop and I'm trying to send 3 jpgs from one to
another. These are big files but I have sent a dozen emails with as many pix
as contained in the one I am currently trying to send with no problem. I
keep receiving the below message on mail. I have nothing in my Inbox,
deleted or junk on either PC yet it keeps returning the message???

A message was sent to you that was returned to the sender(bounced)
because it would have caused your mailbox quota to be exceeded.

The following is the reason that the message was over quota:

Quota Type: bytes in the mailbox
Quota Available: 96893
Total Quota: 102400000

The following is the information on the message that was bounced:

Sender: Mail Administrator <[email protected]>
Subject: Mail System Error - Returned Mail
Size: 1777260
Message ID: <[email protected]>
Date: Tue Apr 28 19:59:29 2009

Reply-To: <[email protected]>

The message was bounced from the following folder:

INBOX

To fix this problem, delete some messages from your mailbox, and contact
the sender to resend the message.

If the size of the message is too big, contact the sender to reduce the
size of the message and resend the message.

The message is not coming from your PC. It's coming from your *email
server*, which is held by your ISP or mail provider.

You probably have both desktop and laptop email clients set to leave
messages on the server forever, and these messages go over your limit.

Log on to the web interface for your mail and start deleting mail, and on
the mail clients, set retention to perhaps 30 to 90 days.

Your mailbox on the Roadrunner server is full.
Log on to the webmail site and delete some messages.
https://webmail.roadrunner.com/webedge

To avoid this in the future, if you configure WM to leave messages on the
server, also configure it to delete them after a few days.
Tools - Accounts - youraccount - Properties - Advanced
[x] Leave a copy of messages on server
[x] Remove from server after [xx] days

If you have a home network, use that to copy the pictures.

Thank you so much! This one had me scratching my head and you're right. It
is on the web interface. Never thought of that. Didn't even know it was
retained there as I never check it.

Will do. Thanks, Dave!
