I have emptied my server inbox, and my Windows Mail inbox only has a total of
86 KB, but yet I keep getting messages from my postmaster stating:

"A message was sent to you that was returned to the sender(bounced)
because it would have caused your mailbox quota to be exceeded.
The following is the reason that the message was over quota:
Quota Type: bytes in the mailbox
Quota Available: 0
Total Quota: 25600000"

I don't have a clue what else to do. The "sender" is just trying to send me
a few lines of text, no pictures, video, or anything of size. What could be
the problem?

It's probably referring to the limit on the email server, since Windows Mail
doesn't have a limit other than the disk size. Log on to the email server
using webmail, and delete at least some of the larger messages you find
there.

Have you contacted your ISP? This quota is something of his doing and he
may be able to tell you more about what you need to delete and where.

You say you emptied the server inbox, but what about the other folders
on the server? Something is causing you to exceed the 25MB limit
on the server.

It certainly sounds like a problem on the mail server itself. Give them a
call and they should be able to get everything straightened out. Sometimes
the messages don't get cleared as they should. They can get everything
working for you.

Unless you tell us, we have no way of knowing who your mail provider is.
They will have a web page with customer support and contact info.

It is also Windows mail.

Windows Mail is not a mail provider, it is a program.
Mail providers are companies that provide email service,
like EarthLink, Yahoo, Comcast.

Windows Mail is an email and newsreader program, not an email provider.
Many email providers allow you to log on by webmail using a browser
such as Internet Explorer, which can give you the chance to delete any
messages you have saved on the email server. Many people choose their
internet provider companies as their email provider companies as well,
since most internet accounts include one or more email accounts.
