email returned, "mailbox quota to be exceeded" WHY?

T

Good afternoon,
I am receving this in my inbox from "admin".

A message was sent to you that was returned to the sender(bounced) because
it would have caused your mailbox quota to be exceeded.

The following is the reason that the message was over quota:

Quota Type: bytes in the mailbox
Quota Available: 0
Total Quota: 56320000

The following is the information on the message that was bounced:

Sender: Facebook <[email protected]>
Subject: Linda Gill Schilling made a comment about your photo album...
Size: 2939
Message ID: <[email protected]>
Date: Wed Sep 16 14:25:44 2009

Reply-To: noreply <[email protected]>

The message was bounced from the following folder:

INBOX

To fix this problem, delete some messages from your mailbox, and contact the
sender to resend the message.

If the size of the message is too big, contact the sender to reduce the size
of the message and resend the message.

The thing is I only have maybe 50 emails in the inbox, not that many with
95% of them having no attachments. What gives? I do have a second "profile"
and when I log on to outlook I pick the one I want, but I do not get this
message with the sound profile. Any ideas?

This is the mailbox on your mail providers server, NOT the mailbox in
Outlook.
You need to log in on webmail and delete some messages there.

Do you have subfolders you're storing mail in? Are you leaving a copy on the
server, check your quota on the server.

Are you using an Exchange mailbox or a PST? What version of Outlook?

Not an Outlook issue. Your account is up on the mail server, not on
your host. Use the webmail interface to your e-mail account to check
how much of your disk quota that you have so far consumed.
