Is it just me, or has everyone started drinking Magners lately? We've just got back from the pub, and over 1/2 the people were drinking it (including myself, as its lovely and refreshing!).

Is this just a co-incidence, or is it catching on everywhere?

Its true mate. Everyone drinks it now. Apart from me.

Good news is though, it counts towards your five a day ;)

What the hell is Magners?

I take it it's some kind of cider.

Best cider was served up at Glastonbury Festivals, early eighties.

It was served from a big (read huge) barrel on the back of a horse drawn wooden cart.

Always used to arrive Wednesday afternoon, set up tent, gather firewood, then about 8pm wander over to cider carts.

Four pints later, ready for bed :D

These days, just Guinness & Bitter, kinda gone off Cider.

I'm not the only one then :p 'orrible struff.

Love the smell of homebrew though.

Pity about the taste.

As for cider... well, after my experiences with Fred's cider....

Mind you, it is great for the creativity ;)

It's amazing what a good hairdresser I become with a bit of cider in me...

'New' Thang!?

Funny you should mention this...
My colleague has been yomping on about Magners for about the last 2 weeks!
He even made me taste it! :D
Interestingly enough.... compared to the good old Strongbow and Woodpecker, which I have avoided since my adolescence - Magners is surprisingly smooth! I think I could even find myself purchasing a jar or more of it!
Apple juice is good for you, after all!

Magners is the new name for Bulmers cider, so I would say apples are "in it" and water. :D

its still a drink that rots your liver ......it contains alcohol ....shrivelled like a pancake after 10 years ....at your peril :p
