Lucent Modem in WindowsXP

Hi all,

I have a Lucent soft Modem cannot be detected in Windows
XP. My mother board chipset is Intel 440BX. I have found
the KB article q305892 similar to my problem. But I cannot
get any hotfix or patch from either Microsoft or Lucent.

Could you help me? Any suggestion is prefer!

Here is a good solution
1. Go out and purcahse a new modem
2. Their very cheap, get a USR modem or any other
3. go to www.driverguide.com or
4. go to www.devicedrivers.com

Hello Alvin,

Thank you for your reply. I would like to install Windows
XP to a new machine which is connected to the Internet
through Modem. If I cannot activate it in time, the system
will be locked. Further more, there is not enough burget
for a new one. I have checked the two links and get
nothing. How can I do?

Any Suggestion? Thanks a lot.
