I started having modem problems recently. I hav tried to
use the trouble shooter and have had some success in the
past, but now, My computer won't enable the modem.when I
looked into it further, I got a message as follows
"The currently installed driver for the Lucent
Technologies Modem is not compatible wih this version of
Microsoft Windows and will be disabled during the
upgrade. If your modem is supported by windows xp, a new
driver will be installed during Windows xp setup.
However, it is recommended that you uninstall your modem
driver and software before continuing the upgrade.

Now, my problem is this, the computer which i am using is
an hp7955 and I just ran the recovery program, everything
else on the computer works just fine, except the modem
which won't "enable" Any suggestions would be great.
