Lost SystemTools

re-post from the General newsgroup

New XP-PRO user has lost (or inadvertently removed?) his
System Tools component from the Start-Accessories menu;
doesn't find it in the "Add or Remove Programs and
Windows Components" panel of Control Panel" and really
wants it back!

I have even explored the XP-PRO distrubution CD for
optional accessory components without
finding what I am looking for. It was suggested that I
rebuild them manually, but I don't know what to use in
rebuilding them.

Could I re-install Win-XP-Pro over what is there now
without having to re-activate it?

Where do I start?

John, System Tools is just a Folder with all the shortcuts to the
various programs. You can find the individual programs in
C:\Windows\System32 Folder. The folder that contains all the
shortcuts could be found here
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Accessories\System Tools
