Unable to locate Remote Desktop Client

Trying to find the Remote Desktop client on my XP Pro SP2 installation.
Usually a simple task, but this one has me baffled.

There is no "Communications" menu under the All Program/Accessories menu on
my machine, for some reason. I see it on other XP Pro machines, but not on
my particular box. Because there's no communications menu, there obviously
is no link to the RDC that I can find.

I can't find anything in the Add/Remove Windows Components that should allow
me to recreate or reinstall this menu item along with the RDC. All
"Accessories" items are checked indicating that all of them are installed
already.

Trying to install the RDC from the XP SP2 installation CD's "Perform Other
Tasks" menu option fails because it believes apparently that the software is
already loaded as part of the OS and directs me to the non-existant "All
Programs/Accessories/Communications" menu.

Is there any particular steps I have to take to recreate the communications
menu with the link to the Remote Desktop Client in it?

Thanks
