Remote Desktop Connection

Using the Start menu I can see an icon for the RDC, but it's not the
usual small computer icon you see. When I click on the shortcut, it
opens a DOS window with a title of C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Communication, which quickly
disappears. The RDC does not start.

The properties on the RDC shortcut are: Target:
%SystemRoot%\System32\mstsc.exe, Start in: %HOMEDRIVE%%HOMEPATH%.

I've tried running "%SystemRoot%\System32\mstsc.exe" with no luck.

I've tried using my Win XP disc to set up RDC and I get the error
message "Remote Desktop Connection cannot be installed because your
operating system already has a built in version. See more
programs\accessories\communications\remote desktop connections on you
start menu."

I have Win XP Pro with SP2, I have an admin account with a password, a
tip I got from Knowledge Base.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
