Create a text file in Notepad as follows:

[Shell]

Command=2

IconFile=explorer.exe,3

[Taskbar]

Command=ToggleDesktop

Save it as Show Desktop.scf then drag it to the Quick launch bar.

Or just click on this link:

Restore/Add Show Desktop to Quick Launch (Line 61)

Also note that you can do this with a keyboard shortcut: the combination of
the Windows key + D or the Windows key + M.

Running the script doesn't put it on the Quick Launch bBar. As I said, drag
the script file you create, Show Desktop.scf to the Quick Launch Bar.

I have a similar problem. When I right click on the desktop and choose
arrange icons by, I do not know the option any more of choosing show icons on
desktop. Even though I have the show desktop option on my taskbar, I cannot
activate the icons from under arrange icons by.
thanks.

out of 1 people found this post helpful." So I clicked "Yes" again, and
still "0 out of 1 people...". Oh yeah! Well I found this post helpful, and
