Losing Internet access after setting up a home network

P

Perz Onal

We have 2 computers that were working spotlessly through a HawkinG
10Base-T 4-port hub until we ran the Windows Home Network thing,
planning to allow both computers to use the same printer and to be
able to share some folders.
One computer runs XP Home and the other is running XP Pro.

We can access the Internet with no problem until the screensaver kicks
in on one computer or the screen goes blank on the other. Then the
affected computer loses Internet access. The modem and hub still show
connectivity but the affected computer(s) cannot access.

If we do any of the following, Internet access is regained until the
next time a screensaver kicks in...yadda yadda.
- reset cable modem
- reset hub
- re-boot the affected computer

We can't undo the changes the stupid Windows Network Wizard made
either, not even with System Restore.

H E L P !!!!

Thanks in advance.
