Long Delay openning IE 6.0

Hi.
Every time I push the Internet explorer icon to start the
browser, or every time a new browser window is load, it
takes a long long time (like 6-8 seconds) to open.
I have install the IE ver 6.0.2800.1106 service pack 2.
I'd like to know what to do to solve this issue.

More memory, fewer applications running at one time.
Check for spyware running in the background (try
SpyBot). Most likely it's memory.
