Logon screen

Steve

Hi
When I start my computer it stops at the username logon screen and waits
until I select my account. It used to go right through to the desktop bit
for some reason it's now waiting for me to logon. There's always only been
one account so I can't understand why it's started doing this.
Anyone help?

TIA
Steve

go to 'Start' and 'Run' and type "control userpasswords2" (without the
quotes). Enter your username and password twice and hit 'OK'.

Go to the Start Menu and the Run box.
.. Type in the following:
control userpasswords2
.. now click OK
.. In the new Windows that appears select the account you wish to make the primary
logon.
.. Now uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
.. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected users
password.

Click OK.
The changes will work the next time you restart your computer.
