Is it possible to log from a WinXP computer to a Win2000
server/domain? I added the computer to the Computers
group but still I cannot log in to the domain. A domain
could not be contacted message appears. Thanks for your
help.

.

Add computer to your domain via domain server, giving all
permissions to administrator.Ensure computername
identical on both xpclient and your domain server. Ensure
networking is enabled and configured as domain, on your
xp client, assign unique ip address to client e.g.
200.10.10.97 - perform ipconfig, Ping your domain server
to ensure connectivity.
Reboot xpclient, logging on unto domain using domain
administrator username and password. Let the setting take
place. You should be able to logon to the domain from
then on using valid domain usernames and password.
Good Luck
