WinXP Pro slow domain login

When logging WinXP Pro client into Win2000 SBS domain [TCP/IP] the login is very slow at 'applying personal settings' [profile]... applies to whole office of 8 PC's. The logon may take up to 2 minutes. Have other clients with same setup no issue. Is it bug with fix or some setting to check? Please help. Tried deleting PC and user profiles on the server and recreating them, to no avail

Thanks

How big are the profiles, on average? Keep them small. Redirect My Documents
to the users' home directories - tell people NOT to save items on their
desktop, etc....

Also - make sure no server or workstation NICs are using autosense - lock
them down at a specific speed/duplex setting. 100/full is great if you have
a switch that can support it.

Also check for userenv errors on the workstation event logs.
