XP Slow Login

I am having a problem with 2 computers when logging into XP SP2. When I
login it logs in normal, no slowness or anything. I have Domain Admin
rights. But there are 3 different users that use these 2 computers that have
problems. It takes a long time to logon, saying applying personal settings.
I have applied all the updates that are out there. These 3 users don't have
any problems logging on any other XP2 computers in the company just these 2.
I have redone the profiles, rename the computer, taken it out of the domain
and put it back in. Messed with the Fire Wall. Still nothing works. It is
weird that I can logon with out any problems but they have problems. Those
users have normal rights.

Are you using group policy on your domain? If so are the policies the same
for all users?

What I think I have figured out was if a user had some shortcuts to share on
pc that is in My Network Places, that was causing the slowness. After
deleting those shortcuts and mapping a drive to each of those shares the
login times was a lot faster. Don't know why.
