Unable to join XP to domain

I'm unable to join a brand new WinXP SP2 machine to my Win2000 Server domain.
No matter what I do to get it join, I get this message:

There are no more endpoints available from the endpoint mapper.

I've seen a few KB's from MS about it, but they didn't help. I probably
looked through every website Google found - no help. Does anyone have a
solid solution??

When joining a Win2003 SP1 and SP@ domain, I have seen this problem. Are you
using a fully-qualified domain name? Are you using a domain account with
privileges to Add Workstations to the Domain? Try entering the account name
when supplying credentials as domainname\accountname instead of accountname.
I don't know if this is a limitation in Server 2000 or not, or if you would
see the RPC ep-map error for this limitation, but in Server2003 Authenticated
Users can join 10 machines to the domain; beyond that, they must be assigned
the Add Workstations to the Domain user right.
