logical disk manager server execution failed

I'm hoping someone my be able to help me, I have a harddisk mp3
player(iriver h120)when I connect this to my pc via usb the computer
reconizies it as drive M, but I can not see it in my computer or in
explorer. I can access the drive using the CMD command. Looking at the
support pages for iriver they say to use the disk management service
to display the drive in my computer, but when I try I get the error
message "Unable to connect to logical disk manager- Server execution
failed" I have checked in the srvices list and both entries for
logical disk manager are running. I am using XP pro with sp2
installed. Any help would be most appreciated.

Thanx in advance

Most USB MP3 players use a their custom version of Linux I think. That
might be the problem. Windows might not like the file system on the
HD.
