When i take my xp pro and set it up to login to a server 2000 and 2003, I
cannot run some applications. It looks like i loose all permissions to the
local pc side. I have made an account on the local pc to match the server
login name and rights match. Any ideas?

Thank you

Yes, of course. When you log into the domain, you are logging in with a
totally different account and into a totally different environment.
Making a local account to match the domain information doesn't help.
When you are using the domain account, permissions come from the domain
side. If you are having difficulties running certain programs because
they require higher privileges than have been assigned to your domain
user account (this is not uncommon with older programs), you can talk
to the systems administrator about the problem. Perhaps s/he can give
you elevated privileges on those particular apps or supply a
workaround.
