Live DJ sets

This is what I am trying to do:

I want the visualizations in Media Player 9 to run while I play “live†(spinning records/vinyl). Can this be done?

My plan is to use a laptop connected to a digital projector to show the visualizations. The laptop would be connected to my turntables via sound card.

Can this be done?
