Windows MediaPlayer 9

I am downloading some CD's from my personal library to my
computer(Media Player 9). When I play back the saved
files I want to be able to switch to Visualizations ->
Album Art and have, not only the front cover to view, but
be able to show the back cover, liner notes, etc. Right
now when I bring up "Album Artwork" it shows only the
front cover, and it is very small. I have a scanner. Is
there some way I can customize this?

The "Folder.jpg" is saved by default at 200 x 200. If you have a scanner, you
can save them at a larger size. Amazon.com often has images of 300 x 300 if you
click on the "view larger image" link on the album page. That would be the
easiest thing to do.

I had this situation and the way I'm getting around it is
by using RealOne to download to My Music folder. This is
because I find WMP reluctant to use my scanned album art.
It latches onto cover art when you download and won't let
it go.

I scan my front and back covers. Sometimes as separate
images, other times side by side as one image. Then I
resize them. Separates at 2 in. by 2 in. approx. Side by
side at 2"h x 4"w. approx. These sizes present a large
visualization.

Then I go to My Music folder, find the album, right click,
properties, customize, choose picture, apply, and ok.

The nest step is to add the album to WMP. Right click the
folder or sub-folder, select Add to Playlist. This will
open up WMP and create a playlist and an album. For house
keeping I usually delete the playlist. You now should
have an album with customized album artwork.

As a note, each song can have its on artwork, just create
subfolders for the songs and add the pertinent art.

For notes and other data, I use the lyrics feature that's
available for each song. Manual edit or paste info here.
Right click the song, properties, lyrics, ok.
Watch the paste, some code that is cut, may not have
formatting delimeters and WMP will treat it as one very
long single line of data. Maunal editing will correct this.

I hope this is not confusing, it's not as laborious as it
may seem once you get the hang of it.

You can also add front and back cover art by editing the clip info in RealOne
Player and then choosing the "music enthusiast" view. "Photos/art" view has
even more.
