I have Windows XP and recently installed a Linksys BEFCMU10 ver.3 modem and
ever since, my computer keeps crashing....dreaded blue screen. MSFT online
crash analysis references that Linksys is the cause (which is apparent b/c my
computer has never crashed until the new modem was installed). I've taken
the obvious steps such as uninstall and reinstall the drivers, but it hasn't
helped.
Most common error messages:
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
MULTIPLE_IRP_COMPLETE_REQUESTS
BAD_POOL_CALLER
Linksys doesn't have an updated driver and my WIN XP is current in regards
to SP2 and all updates.
My computer crashed twice this morning and the MSFT error report suggested
that my HP printer driver is now causing a problem. What's really strange,
is when I click the HP link in the online crash report my computer w/n a few
seconds will crash (blue screen) w/ error report IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL......
Here is a question- if my ISP (Comcast) incorrectly coded what type of modem
I have (i.e. version 3, ver 4, etc) when I called them with the new MAC
address, could this lead to driver / operating software conflicts? I ask b/c
the customer service rep had a very difficult time getting my new MAC address
into the system. I have the feeling he coded my modem as version 4 not
version 3.....
