Recovering from a serious error

While online in internet explorer, my computer crashes frequently and
restarts automatically. After the restart, I get this message:Recovering
from a serious error - a device driver installed on your system caused the
problem, but we cannot determine the precise cause. This started the same
day I installed a Linksys cable modem. I'm using winXP Home, and IE6.0/sp1.

Based on your information, it could be very well the cable modem driver
you've installed.

Check to see if your device manager (Control Panel, System, Hardware, Device
Manager) and see if there is any conflict and contact your hardware
manufacturer to see if there is any known issues for the compatibility with
XP Home (check their site too).
