Recovered from a Serious Error?

Salutations,
When Windows pops up a Windows has Recovered from a
Serious Error message after it boots up, does that mean
it just recovered from a system crash? If not, what else
can it mean?

Perhaps your pagefile is corrupt. Set it to 0, reboot, then set it to
System Managed Size, then reboot again, and see if the error message is
gone. To make these changes to the pagefile:

You must be logged on as a computer administrator in order to complete this
procedure.

Open System in Control Panel.
On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.
On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.
Under Drive [Volume Label], click the drive that contains the paging file
you want to change.
Under Paging file size for selected drive, click Custom size, and type a new
paging file size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) or Maximum size (MB)
box, and then click Set.
