"Links" folder won't stay deleted

Is there a way to make the "Links" folder stay deleted?
Every time I delete it, it reappears when I open my
browser again. I don't WANT the darned thing...can you
help me make it go away?

This is a 'feature' of IE. You cannot remove the folder.
You can hide it however.

Open your Favorites list and scroll down to the Links
folder. Right-click and choose Properties. When the box
comes up check the box marked Hidden and then click OK.

When you next check your Favorites you won't see the Links
folder any more.
