links folder appear out of nowhere

Hi all. I noticed the links folder always appear in my favorites of my IE6.
If i delete it, it would reappear again. How can i remove the links folder
permanently? Thks in advance.

Right click on it and then properties. Click the "hidden" box and you
won't see it anymore. You can't delete it because windows automatically
recreates it.

You are wrong! You can remove links folder from favorites. Trick is this:

Open regedit and navigate key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Toolbar. Check if there is string value named "LinksFolderName" and
if not, create it. Now set value of that specific setting to any of those
folder names you wish to keep in your favorites! For example, if you have
folder "Humor" on your favorites, set "LinksFolderName" to "Humor". Now you
can delete that links folder and it wont came back anymore.

I gave him a safe way of doing it. Most people know nothing of the registry
and it would be very dangerous for them to go in and modify something.
