Linking e-mails to contact history

I am trying to link e-mails to my contact hisory. I tried using link existing
e-mail and although it went through the process no messages were linked. I
then tried to link them manually but I keep getting the following error:
Unhandled exception has occured in a component in your application. If you
click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to
contune. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Of course when you click continue you get a blank link to history dialog
box. Any suggestions?

Sounds like a bug, but at this point they are unlikely to fix it unless
it reproduces in the BCM v3 beta.
