Licensing Problem Win95

Alex Barham

I am having a problem getting a Windows 95 client connected to Terminal
Server. The client has been connecting for 4 months and today is not able to
connect. Other users, including myself, are able to connect to the terminal
services server. I have a W2K domain controller and a W2K terminal services
server (two separate servers). I looked at the logs and I am getting either
an error 1003 - computer has provided an invalid license - or an error
1004 - server could not issue a license. Here is what I have done so far
(but with no success):

1) Deleted the key HKLM/Software/Microsoft/MSLicensing. Restarted the
computer and tried with no success
2) Pulled the computer off the domain, renamed the computer, reset the
password, deleted the MSLicensing key, restarted and tried with no success
3) Uninstalled terminal services client, installed remote desktop
connection, deleted the MSLicensing key and it didn't work
4) Uninstalled remote desktop connection, uninstalled novell client (but
left an old AS/400 client) pulled the computer off the domain, deleted the
MSLicensing key restarted, deleted HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Terminal Server
Client, rejoined the domain, reinstalled remote desktop connection and it
still didn't work

At this point, I am out of ideas so I am hoping someone may have an answer

Thanks

Do you have a Terminal Services Licensing Server up and running?
Is it activated? Can the Terminal Server locate the Licensing
Server?
Does the LS have available (purchased) TS CALs?
