Terminal Services Licenses not releasing expired license or renewing

We installed service pack 4 2 weeks ago. Since then any
terminal service licences that have expired are not
releasing, neither are any licenses renewing. As a
result clients whose license has not renewed are not able
to connect. I have been forced to delete the license key
under
hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\mslicensing\STORE\li
cense000 on the client PC so that when they log on they
are issued with a temporary license (which will obviously
expire in 90 days or so)to enable business to continue. I
have stopped & restarted the terminal service licensing
service and also full reboot of licensing server. Any
suggestions please

yes, there is one error showing every 2-3 days. Event ID
22 "The Terminal Services Licensing server AKLNT04 has no
license pack registered for product 'Windows 2000
Terminal Services Client Access License'. Use Terminal
Services Licensing administrative tool to register the
licenses pack."

Ah...now we are getting somewhere...

It sounds like the license pack wasn't ever installed onto
that terminal services licensing server. So...you either
need to reinstall it, or call the Microsoft Clearinghouse
and have them reissue you a new license pack, since your
old one isn't working quite right.

The Terminal Services Licensing admin tool will show which "license pack"
the license came from.
