I looked at the features of the $29. total uninstall 3 and did not see
much
added value in the new version. Always missing from total uninstall, and
not added to this one:
Notification of which files have been CHANGED (new version of dlls,
changes to setup files, etc.) - not just which files deleted or
added.
Monitoring changes/additions/deletions INSIDE important setup
files, in addition to the registry such as system.ini, win.ini,
autoexec.bat, config.sys, or user selected setup files. Granted
with the NT based windows versions, some of these files do not
matte anymore.
Because of these omissions, I used to use the PCmag utility, InCtrl3,
along with total uninstall. It would report changed files in the form
of reporint the same file both deleted and added, and it would monitor
and even restore changes inside the usual setup text files.
