LaserJet feeds several sheets at once - free kit - where?

Hi All,

Few months ago a friend of mine gave me a HP free fix-it kit for my 5L
- but he doesn't remember how he got it from HP. There was some
promotional e-mail with a link to follow, but this e-mail was deleted
long ago.

Now I need a kit for someone else (6L this time) - does anybody know
where and how to get it?

Regards,

The free kit is junk. You need to replace the seperator pad, and both
sub pads. You can buy a kit with directions from at least two places
on the WEB. The one I recommed is http://fixyourownprinter.com. If
you do not need directions the parts can be ordered from
www.printerworks.com or call www.partsnow.com.

I've repeatedly read statements about the ineffectiveness of the HP kit
so I suppose it's true, but I installed it (with some difficulty)
several months ago and the printer has worked fine since then. However
I've made a note of the above source and will go there if problems
occur.

The free kit is junk.

We've applied the free kit to about 6 HP5 & 6's over a year ago and
they are still going strong so I have to disagree with you.
Undoubtably it won't fix all problems.

iirc correctly the kit can be obtained by going to HP's web site
Printers/Support or similar.
